Voting Event Statuses

Pepvote voting event cards and dashboards show one of these statuses:

• 🟡 Draft: no active time range yet.
• 🔵 Upcoming: start time is in the future.
• 🟢 Ongoing: voting event has started and has not ended.
• 🔴 Ended: voting event end time has passed.

🟡 Draft

A voting event is 🟡 Draft when it does not have an active start time.

In 🟡 Draft status:

• Voting has not opened.
• Managers can continue setup.
• Ballot, positions, groups, candidates, sponsors, and voters can be managed based on role permissions.

🔵 Upcoming

A voting event is 🔵 Upcoming when the start time is in the future.

In 🔵 Upcoming status:

• Voting has not opened yet.
• Managers can continue setup before the start time.
• Public candidate and voter registration can be available if enabled.
• Organizers can use Start Now if they need to open voting immediately.

🟢 Ongoing

A voting event is 🟢 Ongoing when voting has started and the end time has not passed.

In 🟢 Ongoing status:

• Eligible voters can cast votes.
• Setup actions that could affect ballot integrity are limited.
• Live Result can make results visible while voting is ongoing.
• Public self-registration is no longer available.
• Organizers can use End Now if they need to close voting immediately.

🔴 Ended

A voting event is 🔴 Ended when voting has closed.

In 🔴 Ended status:

• Voters can no longer cast votes.
• Result visibility depends on Publish Result and role permissions.
• Teams can use confirmation, votes table, recount, and export workflows based on plan and role access.
