Voting Event Status

Understand the different states of a voting event or poll in Pepvote.

The current status of the Voting Event or Poll. Which at any point in time may be DRAFT, UPCOMING, ONGOING OR ENDED. It depends on the Voting Date and Time set by the Voting Event Manager.

What is Voting Status?

Voting Status as the name implies is the current status of the Election or Poll. PEPVOTE supports 4 types of Voting Status.

Types of Voting Status on Pepvote

  1. Draft
  2. Upcoming
  3. Ongoing
  4. Ended

Draft 🟡

When the Voting Status is DRAFT it means the Voting Date and Time is not yet set or defined by the Voting Event Manager. This means that:

  • The Voting Event Manager can keep setting up the voting event by creating and managing the voting event entities that is the positions, candidates, groups and voters involved

Upcoming 🔵

When an Voting Event or Poll is UPCOMING it simply means the Voting Process is still up ahead. This means that:

  • The Voting Event Manager can setup the voting event by creating and managing the voting entities that is the positions, candidates, groups and voters involved
  • Candidates can register if enabled
  • Voters can register if enabled
  • Voting Result cannot be downloaded PDF

Ongoing 🟢

When an Voting Event or Poll is ONGOING it means the Voting Process has started. Voters are voting and PEPVOTE is collating the results. ONGOING Voting Event or Poll also means that:

  • The Voting Event Manager cannot modify some of the voting entities that is the positions, candidates, groups and voters involved
  • Candidates cannot register
  • Voters cannot register

Ended 🔴

When an Voting Event or Poll has ENDED the Voting Process stops and Voting Result can be accessed. This means that:

  • The Voting Event Manager can no longer modify some of the voting entities that is the positions, candidates, groups and voters involved
