Voting Event actions and statuses
Understand voting event statuses and what each management action does.
Voting Event statuses
Pepvote voting event cards show one of these statuses:
- Draft: no active time range yet.
- Upcoming: start time is in the future.
- Ongoing: voting event has started and not ended.
- Ended: voting event end time has passed.
Common voting event actions
From voting event action menus and manage screens, you can:
- Manage / Participate
- Edit voting event details
- Invite officials
- Upload, change, or remove voting event logo
- Update aliases
- Open voting settings
- Open voting event settings
- Start voting event now
- End voting event now
- Delete voting event (owner only)

Action behavior to know
Start voting event now
Sets the voting event start time to current time.
End voting event now
Sets the voting event end time to current time.
Delete voting event
Only voting event owners can delete voting events. Deletion removes related voting event data.
Editing restrictions
Certain component edits are blocked when voting event lifecycle conditions are not safe (for example, while voting event is ongoing or after it has ended).
