Quick start checklist

A fast practical checklist for launching your voting event smoothly.

Use this checklist to run a clean voting event from preparation to close.

Before launch

  1. Create the voting event and set start/end time.
  2. Add positions (with correct choice limits).
  3. Add candidates and approve only valid candidates.
  4. Add voters and approve only valid voters.
  5. Confirm your settings:
    • Group Mode
    • Public Registration
    • Require Full Votes
    • Shuffle Candidates
    • Step-by-step ballot
    • Voting Format
    • Live Result
    • Publish Result

Before voters start casting votes

  1. Invite voting event managers/polling officers/observers if needed.
  2. Confirm voter emails are correct.
  3. If needed, set a test email destination in Voting Event Settings.
  4. Use Share Links to copy the voting event main link, cast-votes link, confirmation link, result link, and any enabled registration links.
  5. Share voting event guidance with your participants.

During voting event

  1. Monitor voter turnout.
  2. Assist unapproved voters/candidates where necessary.
  3. Use role permissions correctly (do not share owner credentials).

After voting event ends

  1. Confirm results visibility settings.
  2. Review result breakdown and key metrics.
  3. Run Recount Votes if your plan supports it and you need to refresh totals.
  4. Use the votes table and export tools for records.
  5. Share final outcome through your official channels.
