What is PepVote?
Understand what PepVote is, who it is for, and the core election concepts.
PepVote is an electronic voting platform for organizing and managing elections end-to-end.
It is built for use cases like:
- School union elections
- Department, faculty, and class elections
- Association and board elections
- Club and group elections
- Award and nomination voting
Core election concepts
Election
An election is the main container. It has a title, optional description, optional start/end time, and a unique election code.
Positions
A position is what people are voting for (for example, President, Treasurer, Best Designer).
Candidates
Candidates are people (or nominees) running for one or more positions.
Parties
Parties are optional groups for candidates. You can turn this on with Party Mode.
Voters
Voters are the people allowed to cast votes. Voters can be approved or unapproved.
Vote confirmation code
After voting, each voter gets one confirmation code that can be used to confirm their submitted votes.
