NYSC EDUICT Ado Ekiti adopts PEPVOTE

NYSC members in uniform at the Ado Ekiti election

Today Sep 26, 2018 NYSC EDUICT Ado Ekiti adopts PEPVOTE to elect new Executives for 2018 Batch A. The voting process commenced between 08:15 AM − 10:00 AM . The election took place at the NYSC Pavilion in Ado Ekiti, Nigeria.

We are so happy because this is the first election PEPVOTE will host online.

Few Details about the EDUICT 2018A EXCOS Election

The Election had:

  • NO PARTIES
  • 8 Registered and Approved Aspirants
  • 120 Registered and Approved Voters (All Corp Members varying from batches 17B, 18A and 18B)
  • 4 Polling Officers

Devices provided for voting

  • One HP Laptop
  • A Samsung Tablet
  • A Few Mobile Phones

Some Observations

  • The current PRO in person of Mr Wudiri Joshua Adamu directed the voters to the Polling Booth to cast their votes
  • Some Technical Support was provided by the current President in person of Mr Ogundiya Temitayo Israel alongside Mr Adeyemi Adetayo (a colleague)
  • Several Voters were curious to use the system to cast their votes

Few Comments made by Voters and Observers

Some voters and observers (general audience) made a few lovely comments about the Election and Voting Process:

  • Several Voters said "is that all" with amazement on how fast they casted their votes.
  • Some Voters who used tablet and mobile phones said "WOW, this is lovely" while touching the images of their choiced aspirants.
  • Some Observers mentioned that the election was orderly done and the voting process was really superb in general.

At the End of the Election just after 10AM, the current President announced the Election Result

A Funny Senerio that Occured

There happened to be a tie between 2 Aspirant competing for the Office of the Financial Secretary
